Penguin Pile up review

This year’s National Unplugging Day is being held on Sunday 25th June 2017 and they are asking parents around the UK and beyond to pledge to #GoGadgetFree and spend the day from sun-up to sun-down without any technology. http://nationalunpluggingday.co.uk/

As part of the campaign Ravensburg have asked us to review a game in the run up to the Day to help celeberate the day. As a family we chose Penguin Pile up, i knew as soon as i saw the description my two would absolutely love it.

The kids absolutely love this game, it is simple enough for the kids to set up and play on their own or with us, it kept them entertained for a good hour and they had a good laugh while playing.

The aim of the game is to place all your penguins on the iceberg, sounds simple? Well its not, the iceberg wobbles and moves so you have to be extra careful or all the penguins come tumbling down, if your penguin falls immediately after placing it then you must take it back, as well as any other penguins that fall so the game can be ever changing, play starts with the youngest and moves around to the left, the person who places all their penguins on the iceberg is declared the winner

We liked the fact you could play the game on your own too, simply time how long it takes to get all penguins on the iceberg then keep trying to beat that time!

A simple yet enjoyable game that all the family can play and is simple enough for the youngest to play with her friends. suitable for ages 5+

We love that the kids enjoy to sit and play board games as it offers a good balance between time spent on technology and watching TV, we will definitely be attempting to go gadget free on the 25th, will you?
