Teachers gifts, what do you give?

It has become ever increasingly popular to buy end of year presents for teachers and also the ever increasing number of teaching assistants that help in class. Now I in no way begrudge a gift to the people that help shape and guide my children through their education and childhood, these people offer as much influence as us parents so they deserve some recognition, however every year it seams like it is starting to become a bigger and bigger thing and I imagine can be quite a competition in some areas to outdo your neighbour or child's friends parent. All over shopping sites that offer gifts and cards are advertisements for teacher gifts and cards. So what is an acceptable gift or amount to spend on a gift? And do you feel pressured to do so?

I love to see the personalised gift market as it's more than just a box of chocolates, however I imagine teachers could soon become overrun with a hundred personalised mugs, book markers, coasters and such like.
One thing I have done in the past is try to buy from small businesses, as local as possible to make the gift a little more unique and in turn supporting those small businesses that are often a one man/ woman band trying to make a living.
At the end of the day I feel it is each individual persons choice on how much to spend, especially if you feel your child has really excelled under the guidance of a certain teacher why shouldn't you acknowledge that.

I have put together a few gift ideas to suit all tastes and budgets.

How about some wind down pamper time with a long soak using this luxurious Olverum bath oil...

Olverum is a unique and highly concentrated, therapeutic bath oil which contains 10 pure essential oils, carefully blended to work synergistically. Accordingly, an Olverum bath is a very effective way to naturally relieve stress and help you achieve a great nights' sleep. It is also a great way to ease aching or sore muscles (such a treat after a workout!) and is the perfect soothing antidote to a cold or flu. All with a gorgeously aromatic, unisex scent. The ideal gift for a frazzled teacher at the end of the school year.

250ml size will be £53 and enough for 50 baths
The travel set is £19 and enough for 9 baths.
